@windowscentral.com My CPU is unsupported by Windows 11 and my PC still runs fine. When they finally cut me off this fall, I’ll probably go with Bazzite until the poor thing bursts into flames. Only then will I think about building a new gaming system 😜
@ebornian.bsky.social Also, in searching for a good overview of Bruce, I found the author above just recently released a recreation of Bruce: b10g.xyz/blog/2026/th…
@ebornian.bsky.social It wasn’t a game, but old versions of Final Cut Pro had an Easter egg called Bruce the Wonder Yak. There was a text file in the application folder that contained all his quotes, and I always assumed they were quotes from the development team.

@rotomonkey.bsky.social I once hooked up a Cintiq 21UX to a 5K iMac thanks to that exact drawer.
@catgirlfingies.quest Ooooh, good point. Hadn’t thought about that.
@catgirlfingies.quest Finally, it seems like connecting will renew the license automatically but then… what’s the point of any of this if that’s the case? It seems entirely targeted at screwing with people who want to play offline or have poor internet connections.
@catgirlfingies.quest Reading up on this raises additional questions that I’m shocked Sony hasn’t put out an announcement to clear up.
Like, seems to not affect existing purchases. And does it require launching the game or just booting the console and ensuring it’s online? Do the games need to be installed??
@catgirlfingies.quest I certainly have large games that I don’t have installed simultaneously due to storage constraints. If I digitally “shelve” something, are Sony going to come through and take things away like a parent saying “you don’t play this anymore”?
@catgirlfingies.quest Yeah this is some bullshit. I have a PS5 digital edition so that’s the only way I install games on it. And I definitely have stretches of more than 30 days between firing it up.
Last year we moved so it was probably a good 3 months between packing it and unpacking it.
